About
Accessing Additional Support
At Pewsham preschool, we believe every child has the right to reach their full potential.

For some children this may require them receiving additional support, whether from extra internal support, or from external services such as Health Visitor, speech and language service, portage or a number of other external services.

Pewsham Preschool are committed to support both the child and their families throughout their time at preschool. To ensure children are developing in all areas we continually monitor and assess their progress and work with parents/carers to support them to access any additional help they may require.

Concerns
If you have any concerns about your child’s development please speak to your child’s key person or contact the setting SENCO.

Happy Maps - This website supports parents who are concerned about their child’s behaviour or mental health.

It includes strategies and resources to help support a wide range of concerns, from anxiety to bedwetting and other common issues that children face.

These resources have been chosen because they suggest a variety of strategies rather than just one way of doing things and have been recommended by other parents, by mental health charities and by professionals. Remember- only go with the advice if it feels comfortable for you and your family.

What to Expect When Booklet - The purpose of this booklet is to help you as a parent/carer find out more about how your child is learning and developing during their first five years, in relation to the EYFS. Children develop more rapidly during the first five years of their lives than at any other time. This booklet has been written to help you as a parent know what to expect during these vitally important years by focusing on the seven areas of learning and development which are covered in the EYFS. The booklet can be accessed via the following link.
